During the covid months, the Vi staff provided activities and support for our comfort and they kept our days lively and interesting. In normal times, Vi's combination of delicious dining in a fine-restaurant atmosphere -- and the stimulating activities hosted by Vi -- has resulted in our making new friends and discovering new interests. The view of the Rocky Mountains from the balcony of our 2-bedroom apartment is breathtaking. There is a wide range of excellent shopping and lovely Colorado destinations nearby. And Denver's cultural venues are an easy drive or light-rail ride away.

Had we read the reviews prior to our visit, we probably would not have conducted our visit. If you are searching for a nursing facility for your loved one, I strongly encourage you to disregard some of the reviews posted here and conduct a visit, ask questions, closely observe and make your own decision. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being the worst and 10 being the best, my mom and I rate Oak Hills Care Center an 8. A nursing home is also known as skilled nursing facility .
During the covid crisis, the Public Health dept ordered all Senior communities to cut back on large group gatherings indoors, so the Vi staff organized new activities outdoors, and on closed-circuit TV and online. At Vi, we're really enjoying our gorgeous view of the Rockies from our private balcony. I was looking for a facility to care for my father after many health conditions prohibited him from living independently. After considering other facilities Oak Hills met my fathers needs without question. The CNA's were very attentive, nice, and respectful which made the atmosphere conducive to what my family and I were looking for. When you walk in you are greeted with a smile and assisted by a staff member to direct you where you need to go.

With that being said, this post is different from a review of a restaurant, etc. for a service or product received. This review recaps my first interaction with Oak Hills Care Center. However, the interaction with Oak Hills Care Center was the fifth of five interactions with a local nursing facility of which my mom and I are considering placing my precious grandfather. Upon arrival to the facility, my mother and I chatted with family members we encountered in the TV area, all who had positive things to say about Oak Hills and the care their loved ones are receiving there. Ms. Garrett provided a brief but thorough overview of the skilled nursing and rehabilitation services available at Oak Hills Care Center. Ms. Garrett was very open and responsive to our long list of questions and concerns about the nursing facility.
Just go to their Facebook page and you’ll see… it’s not the same place anymore. There are plenty of active seniors out there who are ready, willing and able to take on the world — with just a bit of help. If you’re living a mostly independent lifestyle, but you could use an extra hand with some of your day-to-day activities, Brookdale Edmond Danforth could be right for you.

Found her to be energetic and wanting to help and do good she is also waiting for the Reconstruction to finish so she can bring her own family member there. If you go there looking for the Ritz for your family you're not going to find it.
