I have the pleasure of working with these individuals as I am a member of the corporate office that is now managing them. The residents here get to do so much fun stuff, I mean seriously! They’ve gotten to see an Elvis impersonator, and a Micheal Jackson impersonator, they get karaoke three times a week, and games every day. Not to mention the Administrator is extremely professional and she knows her stuff. The activities director is the sweetest lady you’ll meet and she goes out of her way to treat the residents with so much love.
The residents who received an antianxiety or hypnotic medication is way higher than the state average. The Oak Hills Living Center has a 1-star overall rating, the lowest possible. The nursing home is in the bottom 20% of facilities in terms of overall rating. The overall rating is slightly lower than the state average.

As a Type A CCRC, Vi gives us the security of knowing that -- if and when needed -- we can transfer to assisted, memory or skilled care without facing an increase in the monthly fee we are then paying for Independent Living. Every community has room for improvement and is continuously worked upon here at Vi. The employees and staff are genuine and truly care for the residents. We live in a cottage and are so thrilled to enjoy all the amenities and still have full independence. We moved to Vi to be proactive in making sound retirement decisions.
She customized her information to address the needs of my mom father/ my grandfather as an individual. As we toured, I was extremely impressed by Ms. Garrett's engagement with the residents, their families and the staff. The staff was also engaged with the residents, their families as well with each other. It's one thing when a facility and its staff vocalize they are a "family," but it's a testimony to genuineness when you observe everyone demonstrating it. I must admit that as a result of some startling observations at the first four nursing facilities my mother and I visited, that we both walked into Oak Center with a preconceived notion as well as some huge concerns.

I was happy when I moved here when it opened but if I was younger and richer I would not stay. The food has deteriorated, the staff does not respond to complaints or suggestions. 2 stars compared to the OK average of 2.19 and a National average of 3.12. 2 stars compared to the OK average of 2.63 and a National average of 3.33.

Visited with the administrator who's been there less than a month. Found her to be energetic and wanting to help and do good she is also waiting for the Reconstruction to finish so she can bring her own family member there. If you go there looking for the Ritz for your family you're not going to find it.
There may be some additional services that could increase the cost of care, depending on the services that you may need. It's always a good idea to check when you visit the community to see if your pet will be allowed. The nursing staff and activity staff have treated my son with great care and humanity and for this I am so grateful. However, the center's administration however, are unorganized, ineffective, unsophisticated and are not technology savvy.

They were very friendly and the residents seemed to be happy and engaged in the activities that were planned for them. If you are looking for care for your love one I would definitely suggest visiting this facility. Yesterday I toured this facility for my mother-in-law and wife and found it to be old. But also saw that remodeling is under way to bring it up to date. That being said about the facility itself it was still very clean, the staff interacted well with all the patients and residents. They seem to take time and care whenever asked a question or requested of something done.
